An allergy is an overreaction of the immune system to certain components of, for example, grass or pollen, so-called allergens. Allergens are completely harmless substances that occur and are widespread everywhere in our everyday lives.
In addition to pollen from grasses or trees, allergens also include dust mites and their droppings, animal dander or molds, as well as food and medications.
