With the dialogue platform Helmholtz KLIMA, the Helmholtz Association has renewed its commitment to climate communication in order to bring climate-relevant research into the political discourse.

With a new team in Berlin, we are working as an interface for climate-relevant issues between the Helmholtz Association and politics. Helmholtz KLIMA has replaced the Helmholtz Climate Initiative since 2024.
Helmholtz KLIMA mediates between science and politics
As Germany's largest research organisation, the Helmholtz Association uses the power of its cutting-edge research to solve the major challenges of our time.
Among other things, it is driving the transition to climate neutrality and supporting adaptation to climate change. In order to communicate climate-relevant findings to policymakers, we at Helmholtz KLIMA are developing dialogue formats that promote an even better exchange between experts and policymakers.
Our aim is to effectively bring the expertise of the Helmholtz Association into the public debate. The interdisciplinary solutions developed by the research community should be incorporated into political decision-making processes in particular. The basis for this is the cutting-edge research of the 18 Helmholtz Centres.
