The German Climate Consortium (DKK) is the independent self-organisation of German climate research. As an umbrella organisation, the DKK currently represents 28 research institutions in which thousands of scientists are conducting first-class research. Central questions are how human-made climate change is caused, how society can react to it and which facts and instruments can support the necessary decisions in economic and environmental policy. An important concern of the DKK is the dialogue with politics, business and the public.  The DKK promotes this dialogue by networking of independent research with political and economic actors with the aim of formulating science-based options for action on climate protection and climate impacts and providing reliable results from research for this purpose.

Relevant events on these issues are bundled in the DKK climate calendar.
