In order to investigate and understand the consequences, causes and effects of climate change, researchers have to work together across disciplines and pass on their knowledge to society and politics. The Earth System Knowledge Platform (ESKP) prepares research results from the Helmholtz Centers on the subjects of "natural hazards", "climate change", "pollutants" and "effects of the energy transition on the environment" in an easily understandable manner for various target groups (including authorities, politics, decision-makers, the press, the population).
The wide range of information includes texts, interviews, real-time data, graphics, image and film material. References to specialist publications as well as generally understandable brochures complete the offer. The experts at the research centers are also available to answer additional questions. In doing so, ESKP aims to improve decision-making bases in politics and society and to convey open questions of society back to research.
