Happy holidays and a good year 2023!

With best wishes for the holidays from us.

A challenging climate year 2022 lies behind us. The new assessment reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) have once again shown us the full drama of climate change in a scientifically sound manner. However, the World Climate Conference COP 27 has only made small steps forward. In the eyes of many experts, these steps are far too small. At the same time, there are signs and developments all over the world that give hope: Committed citizens working for climate protection in a variety of ways, politicians actively initiating change, business leaders transforming their companies to be climate-friendly, and scientists tirelessly researching how we can improve climate protection and adaptation to climate change. You can read reports, articles, interviews and more about many of these developments on our website. Feel free to stop by for an extended holiday visit!

As we turn the corner of the year, however, we are also looking ahead. The voice of science will also be indispensable for future climate policy, and there will be exciting new research topics. We will stay on the ball: reporting, informing, classifying and looking forward to the dialogue with you....

Today, however, we wish you happy holidays and all the best for 2023. We thank you for your interest in our topics.

Stay healthy and full of energy!

Your Team Communication of the Helmholtz Climate Initiative
